Live Coaching on Agile Transformations:Applying the Agile Coach Competencies to Everyday Transformations
This workshop is a follow-on to our keynote: The Essential Transformations. We will briefly go through the Agile Coaching Insitutute's agile coach competency framework, consisting of: agile-lean practitioner, teaching, mentoring, facilitating, professional coaching, technical mastery, business mastery, transformation mastery. We will then have participants generate scenarios from their own agile work that are some kind of essential transformation and map these to the various skill or knowledge areas in the competency framework as ways of working with that transformation.
Lyssa and Michael will then conduct 4 live coaching and mentoring sessions and debriefs with session participants using a number of scenarios chosen by participants as the highest priority ones.
Present Agile Coach Competency Framework
Have table teams generate real-life transformation scenarios and map to competency areas
Have group prioritize scenarios
Lyssa and Michael conduct one-on-one coaching/mentoring sessions in a fishbowl (other participants observing)
Debrief each session with entire audience
|Constraints and Class Arrangement||
Need chairs arranged in circles of 6 people but with NO tables (they will be an obstacle to communication and full participation)
May need someone at the door to monitor people coming in and out, potentially disrupting sessions
We have not done this specific session before, but frequently teach the competency framework and do live coaching and mentoring in front of a group.
