Name Adrian Bolboaca
Bio

Adrian was involved in developing software for domains like energy, ecommerce, banking, customs
and ERP/CRM. He has been working with companies from Netherlands, Romania, Italy, France and Germany, and he is knowledgeable in software technical domains like: clean code, test driven development, simple design, emergent design, working effectively with legacy code.

As a continuous learner and challenger of existing ideas and concepts, Adrian is a supporter of movements that give new ideas on how to continuously improve software and that embrace the values of software quality and efficiency. He facilitated many code retreats in Romania, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Finland, Bulgaria and has a keen interest in serious games and using gamestorming for continuous improvement.

He is fluent in Romanian, English and French, but when it comes to programming languages he supports language agnosticism, since he strongly believes that a programming language is only a tool towards higher level software concepts.

As a constant participant to conferences and workshops, he is recognized for challenging ideas and getting people out of their comfort zone, not out of disrespect or lack of reverence for his peers, but out of his desire to show people that there are always things to learn.

I try to be a continuous learner and a continuous teacher, because I think good software comes from the skills of the people that are involved in the process, on each and every level. Whenever I write code I focus on reducing domain complexity to obtain maintainable software. I love to develop software that helps companies to improve their business, to implement solutions that improve their internal processes and to motivate teams to use their capabilities to yet another level.

Name Scott Aucoin
Bio

Like a ninja, Scott Aucoin manages teams from the shadows – tweaking, empowering, and improving without impeding. He’s not a typical project manager looking to steal your time and declare a process, he wants the team to drive and use him as a beacon for improvement. Scott is a strong advocate for development process advancement based on the team, not the organization.

Scott’s Master’s in Project Management provides him with the knowledge of traditional approaches. Luckily, he recognized the value in being flexible, studying a plethora of modern methodologies, and using the tools that work for a situation rather than the ones that are required by a specific framework. He’s a Scrum Master, an Agile Coach, and a semi-pro lounger.

Throughout my career I was in different roles, projects, companies. I remember how a project, customer or even a whole company looks like from ordinary team member’s, linear manager’s or senior manager’s points of view. I know what does it mean small or big, outsourcing or product company and how this context can affect the production process. I saw long never ending maintenance projects, real products or even startups. I understand pros/cons of heavy weight and agile methodologies because I worked using both.

Now I concentrate on agile methodologies. I have been using them since 2004 so I have a deep understanding of core principles and know not only the book theory. Combining my agile and analyst experience I specialize on agile requirements management - part of development process that often has problems.

I really enjoy helping teams become not only effective but efficient; bring transparency between dev teams and customers; explain how to become hyper-productive and self-improvement.

"I started my career as a programmer, and over the years I’ve worn many hats, including business owner, internal consultant and manager. From all these perspectives, one thing became clear: our level of individual, team and company success was deeply impacted by our work environment and organizational dynamics. As a result, I have spent the last twenty-five years helping companies design their environment, culture, and human dynamics for optimum success.

How your company’s values are reflected in your environment, your culture and organizational dynamics, directly determines the quality and level of your success. When your company environment, culture and organizational dynamics are positive, mutually receptive and reinforcing, your people and teams have the capacity to achieve great things.

I help your teams and management understand what’s working and where there are contradictions that sap productivity and stifle innovation. We explore how best to maximize your capacity for achievement by eliminating wasted effort, politics, cynicism, and fear. Together, we achieve a holistic view of your organization, and design your environment to directly enable, support and sustain your agile success, now and into the future."
