Description

Creating a book is not a simple project however applying Agile principles to the process might make it much more easier to manage and give you better results. During the workshop we will create a children's book in teams by using Scrum techniques. You will stay awake as workshop requires your active participation, gives ability to have fun and engage your creativity.
I have done interactive workshops on conferences, Agile events, at company offices and business schools and these are always perceived very well, as there are always some people who prefer "learning by doing".

Constraints and Class Arrangement

It can be done with literally any number of people (at Project Management congress 2014 in Rotterdam I have done it with 9 teams of 8), but they have to be seated in teams of 4-8 participants per table (or stand around a high table).
The following materials needed for the workshop:
- A4 paper (~10 pages per team)
- at least 1 pen per team
- 1 flipchart marker per team (ideally - set of 4 per team)
- some colorful sticky notes (post-it) per team
- optional - 1 scissors per team (2-4 for the whole crowd is also ok)
I need a beamer in the room.

Session History

This workshop I've brought already in 2014 to Global Scrum Gathering in Berlin, IPMA Project Management congress in Rotterdam and Agile Vilnius Tour 2014.

I have used it extensively in trainings.
